So Dang Hard

This journal for my vacation in Hawaii was so HARD to put together.
I don't know WHY it was so hard; I've done 3 other Hawaii journals and the process didn't feel this difficult.
I think the challenge for me was going with stencil/spray/ink/stamp for the blank pages.  And figuring out the binding; ultimately I used small rings.  The rings aren't the right color (sigh), but I don't know if I have the energy to color them.  Really?!

I didn't want to cover up the beautiful wallpaper so I used white watercolor paper for the inking techniques; these are the pages where I can journal my daily activities.   I love these sentiment stamps from Dyan Reaveley.  Perfect thoughts that I know I'll experience spending 2 weeks with extended family.
I just had to add in more of the velvet die cut flowers.  Plus several of these acetate sheets to create pockets.  My lesson learned here was...I don't even know.  Just something easier, please.

Why is it some projects that seem to not flow as easily as others? I love the journal you created. I especially love that you used acetate sheets for the pockets. Can't wait to see some travel pics! HUGS, Heidi
