While in Santa Fe, NM earlier this year I was seeking Our Virgin of
Guadalupe trinkets...just because I like the image. I came upon a stamp store with only one remaining stamp of her. Sold! At a very old church, in the gift shop, I found this lovely little necklace full of great poses.

Back at the stamp store, I found a sacred heart stamp (And some others, too. But I'm saving those for later.). Here is a
place card for my friend Laura using the heart. This is in
preparation for the Fanciful Twist Halloween Party; Laura and Vanessa have promised to attend. Along with, Aura, Laura's evil twin who I haven't met yet. The jeweled cross is a Nicky Butler number that I frequently wear. That's all for now.
OOG. I just actually
read Vanessa's party invite, and the party is the
17th...not the 31st.
Eeeek! Back to the studio.

Oooh....a placecard for MOI???? I can't resist. Will there be a plate full of those cookies waiting for me behind it?
EEEK!!! is right. I just got back from vacation, so whipping up Halloween goodness on the fly is going to be scary indeed. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Out to the studio for me, also, I suppose.
I am also a fan of Mexican religious art. I have a room (in my head and hopefully in reality soon) that is all Catholic Kitsch. The tackier, the better. I prefer the images of that poor soul burning in hell and repenting for their sins. And the pointy winged black devils taunting saints with pitchforks. Things like that.
That necklace is fantastic. What a great piece. Do you wear it often? I have a lot of religious jewelry, but since I'm not Catholic, I hate to offend anyone since I'm wearing it with a heaping helping of irony, you know?
