You've heard of a 10 Minute Card? Yeah, well, I've never been able to do a card in 10 minutes, even following along with a YouTube how-to. Today I had an hour before I had to go to the barn, so I challenged myself to make a 1 Hour Card. I was itching to use the new Spellbinders Nestability frames I bought today at Michael's (40% coupon a the ready). I've found that when I settle down to make cards for OWH I like to make 3 or 4 each session. And that usually does mean 2-3 hours in my "studio". Here we have the 2 cards I made today using the frames.
Yesterday I made these 2 cards with some embossing experiments from a previous craft session. I am learning a lot about technique and switching up variety of the elements on cards. I have to admit that I'm often not 100% pleased with my results. Still I put love into every card, thinking about our soldiers and how to bring a smile to their day. Plus I remind myself that these are HANDMADE cards and perfection is not the goal. Yet...I shall persevere.
