This was so much fun. It is a meandering mini-album made with one 12x12 inch piece of double sided scrapbook paper. I used paper from Graphic 45's Birdsong collection. Meandering Mini tutorial is the youtube video that I used to learn how to make this album. I love taking my iPad to my craft table so that I can stop a tutorial while I fumble to catch up.
I was inspired by Ellen Bee to make this 3" x 3" album for my bucket list. My BFF tried to get me to join her in making a bucket list a few months ago, which was inspired by a different project from Ellen Bee. I just couldn't come up with anything for my list, and I was not even in a crafting frame of mind at the time. However, yesterday I was good to go.
This mini is a lot of fun to decorate. For my next one I will use solid color cardstock for the album and save the decorative paper for photo mounts on each page. A couple of tips: make front and back covers for the album from chipboard; cut the covers a little bigger than 3"x3". I will use washi tape on all of the cover edges next time so the tiny bit of cardboard edges aren't visible. Make an album spine from coordinating paper. I glued my spine over the top of the album covers after I had attached the covers to the mini. I use liquid glue, The Ultimate, for everything.
You can't have a album without tags. Each album page is a pocket for a tag(s). There are 7 pockets. Good things come in small packages.
As usual with me, Graphic 45 collections are my go-to decorative paper. Lets see; I have maybe a dozen of their 12x12 pads. I've learned to buy the pad rather than individual pages. I was shocked with myself to discover I had NOT bought Le Cirque pad. Because it is an older collection no longer available in stores I was lucky to find 1 set of the papers on eBay. Lesson learned!
