Today I lifted up my mounting block, that I use when I ride Buffy, and discovered a perfect nest with 3 tiny eggs resting inside. I think this is from the dark-eyed junco who nested in my barn rafters last year, with mixed results. The ceiling is really high, and the floor is really hard...not a good combo for baby birds. Mama Junco persisted with 3 clutches of eggs and off-spring before I took the nest down. I couldn't take the stress. I carefully set the mounting block back in place, and I didn't even want to shift it for a moment to take a photo. Instead, I'm using this darling image from
The Graphics Fairy. I was hoping to replicate the shadow box effect that Crafty Secrets has in their product line. Here is what
Vikki Chrisman has done with it. I think I need to add thicker
dimension glue dots between the frame and the
background. BTW, for this frame, I used the left-overs from my new Tim
Holtz Alterations plaque die-cut.
