Hours Just To Get To The Starting Line

Soon I will drive down for a short stay with my friend in Oregon.  Because the weather is still cold and damp we will be doing more crafting than riding, so I suggested we make a "6 Things About Me" pocket journal. For the base I bought Graphic 45 Kraft Envelope Albums.  Which, I must say, are made from very blah beige paper:  Requiring that every surface be covered and/or painted before beginning with the journal part.  It took me a couple hours of cutting and gluing to get the album prepared for the real fun.
I learned along the way that light weight paper instead of double sided heavy paper may be a better choice.  And to pick your coordinating papers carefully because you're gonna be spending a lot of time looking at them!  What we have hear is the bare-bones; no distress edging, no stamping, no Perfect Pearl misting...hours just to get to the starting line.
