My sister hosted a craft session at her house yesterday. I took snacks, beverages, and some goodies from my stash. When she first showed me the kits she was providing, I thought of a warehouse steampunk theme. I used Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante papers to fill in the "windows". The extra goodies decortaing the exterior are from the brand new G45 Steampunk Spells collection. Add in a few Tim Holtz elements and some bling from my recent $12 grab bag and it's kinda cute. The kit is from http://www.paperwhimsy.com/store/home.php Incredible stuff.

Love & Happiness
My sister's birthday is in a few days. Tomorrow we are getting together for a craft session at her house; something we haven't done in a very long time. Therefore...I needed to get a card made and a gift bought. Today. One of the talented paper artists I follow is Arlene at http://butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/ She has recently posted a video with clever use of a Graphic 45 large tag for a gift card. I just knew I had that same large tag in my stash, but, NO it was the smaller ones. OK, no need to panic. I chose Graphic 45 BirdSong collection papers. Can there ever be too much praise for Graphic 45? Their designs are simply the best. THE BEST.
You know I haven't been cutting and gluing for some weeks now; lost my mojo. It's back. I had fun layering this and that, moving stuff here and there to finalize my design. On the backside I made a little pocket to slip in a Starbuck's gift card. Mostly I wish for LOVE & HAPPINESS for my sis.

Huff & Puff
I am really working hard, huffing and puffing, to eek a little something out of the studio. I fear my total lack of inspiration will linger. At least until the newest G45 collections arrive later this month. I just want to get my hands on Steampunk Spells and Bohemian Bazaar. In the meantime, it is weed season here with some glorious sunny days to beckon me outdoors.
I'm just back from 5 days of fun in Salem, OR. My friend and I have developed a bit of a routine during my visits. One of our destinations is an antique row in Silverton. I always find some great stuff there; like this lovely old lace dresser scarf with inset petit point. We also drove a bet further to Aurora, OR and lucked upon 2 terrific antique stores, back to back. I found this hat loaded with millinery flowers. And, YES, I will be cutting up both of these beauties to use in my crafting. We also each bought a $12 grab bag full of jewelry bits. It was worth the $12 in entertainment value alone as we sorted through the goodies. So, that's all I've got for now.
