It took a box from
Gilded Life Stash Society to get my creative ideas moving from zero to 60 MPH. Yes, I joined the society at the urging of my
partner in spending money crime BFF; this is the first kit I've received. (ps that Venezia linen tea towel is a photo prop and not part of the kit)
There are lots of pretties to look at and then dream about how to utilize. Hmmm, die cut stars and a vial of German glass glitter (omitted from photo) leads me to imagine something patriotic. I won't have to rely on my imagiation solely because the Stash Gals have a design team that will guide me into several tutorials for each months' kit.
This metal lace is really wonderful. It is just the element I needed to finish off a collage pin I've been fiddling with.
This post truly is all about The Gilded Life. In the above collage are some snippits I bought from TGL plus some lace and applique I bought at The Fabric Depot in Oregon that is typical of the The Gilded Life style. The little celuloid and mother of pearl pin was found at the Rose Bowl Flea during Spellbound 2013. See? All about Gild.
Is 3 too many? Perhaps as Coco Chanel said "take off 1 piece before you leave the house".
I decided to add just a bit more to this collage pin, turning it into a mini banner in the style I learned while taking a class from Shea and Debbie at Art & Soul in Portland. I could get used to this gilded living.
