A(nother) Perfect Day

Today was so perfect, I want MORE. It was sunny with clear skies all day. I walked to the beach, I rode, I baked, I cooked, I crafted, I read. A perfect day. The "Cirque" plaque is just for fun, just for me. I found a package of transparency frames at JoAnne's a couple weeks back; cast off by someone, sitting in with other stuff. Love them. The circus image was a postcard that came with the Victoria calendars my sister gives to Mom each year. And I'm still working on my badges!
I made these invitations for each of my 2 great-nephews and 1 great-niece (the other invite is also the owl theme). Mom, sister and I are going to take them to the annual local Fall Farm Tour next Saturday. This will be our 3rd or 4th year. It has always been cold, and sometimes damp, but a great place for kids to see a real vegetable garden and farm animals, beehives, etc. You know, so they learn that food doesn't come from a grocery store? More days like this, please!

You and I have a pretty close assessment of a perfect day, Charlotte.

The invitations are adorable, but just spooky enough for wee ones. Thta's a FABULOUS idea to take them to working farms. It IS weird that so many people think food comes from a box on an aisle.

The Cirque plaque is a bit eerie to me for some reason. That clown is a good kind of creepy. But I don't think I'd sleep with him watching me. You work with scale in a nice way, too.
