The new MacKenzie-Childs catalog arrived this week. Full of the usual fabulousness. But the huge Christmas tree made from shards is OVER THE TOP. It can be yours for $50,000!
Forget the tree, I want that ridiculous checkered MOOSE HEAD! The tree's pretty amazing, too though. But SHEESH---who has an extra $50,000 lying about for a tree?
My mother has this great idea for a minimal lazy person's Christmas tree...perhaps someone else is already doing this, but I think of it as 'her idea'. She HATES to decorate, hates to get all the holiday stuff out, unpack, repack, etc. So, what you do is:
Put the tree on a piece of wood with roolers, decorate the tree perfectly one year, then unplug it and roll it into a closet. Leave it alone until next year, then roll it back out and plug it in. Genius, no?
