My thought for the day is : "
Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." I've had this in my head for a week now, ever since I was told a hateful, harmful lie by someone. My first reaction, upon learning the
surprising things she told me were 100% false, was to confront her. However, I know this person pretty well, and the lying is nothing new, nor is there any hope that she will realize the consequences of her actions and make amends. Then I recalled this bit of sage advice...I wanted to somehow depict it. As I was looking for images to use, a couple of things happened. One; it was easy to find images that reflect love and friendship. Because that is what my life is filled with. I don't have enemies, I don't harbor hate, I don't have people in my life who are evil. Except this one ugly soul. Two; these people
are out there. However, I say, they are not worthy of upset. Just shake them off, knowing the evil that lurks. Still, you may need to keep them close.

Oh, yuck!
I'm sorry you're stuck in this position.
I have to say, though, I don't want to keep THOSE sorts of friends close. I want to ship them all off to live on some tiny island together. Then, they'll have to see the product of their meanness every day and deal with it. Reap what you sow, mean people!
You're a 'high road' sort of woman. I like that about you. I try to have friends I respect and want to be like.
YOU, of course, can live on the mainland full of nice folks.
So there.
It is difficult to have one of these people in your life. I don't know if keeping them close is such a good idea? Maybe cutting them loose is better? Poison like that really mucks with my muse and creativity. And I just don't have time for that.
Sorry you have to deal with this.
Your piece speaks volumes by the way!
Hugs
