Never Forget

The men in my life served their country in war and peace. Papa Garrett served in two wars. His three sons sailed, flew and marched in WWII. My husband was ready for Vietnam. Still, if I had had a brother or a son, I would have fought for them to NOT go to war. I don't forget what brave men and women have sacrificed for me.
Medals are a way of remembering what is probably best forgotten. These medals I found with Dad's belongings. Never viewed or discussed; leaving me to wonder about their provenance. What I do know is that all of these men are heroes.

A salute to our fallen heroes. So blessed are we to have so many willing to sacrifice for our freedom.
