Believe it or not, I am not a junkie for craft tools. My tools have been pretty basic for a long time, but recently I've broken out the credit card and expanded my inventory. I came upon some
video demos by Tim Holtz on how to use his latest line of Sizzix "dies"...and I just HAD to have them. But wait, first, one must have a die cut machine. I spent hours researching what is available and covered all the bases from eBay, to Amazon, to HSN and more. Here is the little jewel I ended up with. Note I'm also drinking the Tim kool-aid and using his line of inks for their blending properties.

Once one has a machine, then the shopping for dies, or shapes, can begin. These are the 3 I purchased. The large shape on the right is great for text boxes, frames or a booklet cover. You WILL NEED to get that little square insert inside the die to prevent material you are cutting from sticking in the die. Tim gives this tip and how to get the little square from Sizzix in his demo. I also bought the fun heart/wings/crown die and two edges in the bottom die.

These little goodies are not inexpensive, so I've vowed to use them often. And I have. Here is a booklet I made for Josef, just to brighten his day. Yeah for new things!

I'm gonna go have some fun with that heart and wings. You can also find his product demos on YouTube. Quite the talented and articulate young man.

Wow! What a cool die cut machine. I got a Cricut but haven't played with it yet.
Love the friendship booklet! Bet he loved it!
